Become a member & learn French alongside Rose
Learn alongside her and understand real, fast French from your very first episode: every word lights up as it's spoken.
Le Transcript
Recognising a word and recalling it are two different things.
Until your ear can tell where one ends and the next begins, listening alone won't fix that.
The fix is shadowing: hearing and repeating at the same moment, so your mouth and your ear train together instead of your brain translating in between.
Le Transcript is built for exactly that. Press play. The words light up as they're spoken, and your eyes and ears are locked to the same syllable, every second of the episode.

1
Switch to French and let it run
Understanding about 30% is normal. Let it wash over you; the highlighting is doing the teaching.
2
Pick three lines
Tap each one, repeat aloud five times, then write them by hand — saying them as you write.
3
Daily, that's about a hundred usable French phrases in a month. Things you can say to someone.

When you follow the story, the words stay.
Here's why: your brain is bad at word lists. A list is flat. There's nothing to hold on to.
Your brain is very good at pictures. And we use Mnemonics. So the French sticks.
A mnemonic is a memory hook. It works in two parts.
First, the French word is matched to English words that sound like it. Then those words are built into a picture: one you can see in your head.
Examples:
Déménager — to move house
Sounds like: ‘Day Manage’.INCROYABLE sounds like “ink Roy able"
👉 Imagine a superhero called Ink Roy who can do anything; he's absolutely incredible/amazing. Someone watches him and gasps: "Ink Roy's able to do
ANYTHING!”
Read that once. You now know the word.
That's why mnemonics are fast. A word list gives your brain nothing to grab. A picture gives it a place, a face, a bit of movement, and your brain stores pictures whether you ask it to or not.
Rose gets a mnemonic for the words she learns each day. They go in her Diary with the rest. You get them too.

Five focused minutes (three lines, tapped, repeated aloud, written by hand) beat an hour of passive listening. That's the routine above, and it's the whole method.
