Shopping Warm-Up: French for Shopping in Paris
Before Rose's shopping trip to Le Bon Marché in Episode 05, this warm-up teaches you the exact phrases you'll hear, one by one, with a memory trick for each. When you press play on the next episode, you'll understand every word. The French Ritual is a story-based French podcast where you learn French by living Rose's life with her.
What this bonus episode does
Rose walks you through the shopping phrases from Episode 05, in the order they come up: the outfit Nora picks out, trying things on, finding the fitting room, the compliment when something suits you, asking the price, and paying at the till. Then two phrases for the wine tasting at the end of the episode. You say each one together, and each one comes with a memory trick.
Then, when you press play on Episode 05, you'll catch every phrase as it flies past, and feel like you're really speaking French. Because you will be.

THE METHOD
Rose's Memory Tricks
Rose doesn't memorise French from vocabulary lists. She creates sound-alike mnemonics: memorable connections between French words, familiar English sounds and what is happening in her life.
The stranger and more visual the association, the easier it is to remember when you hear the French again.
